About Us
Boat U.S. Towing, the nation’s largest on-the-water towing
service for recreational mariners, has tapped Marine Towing
Salvage, a local on-the-water towing and assistance provider on
Lake Lewisville, TX, as a Boat U.S. Approved Towing
Responder. Capt. Jay Nunnally is the owner of the new port,
which is located at Eagle Point Marina in Lewisville, near the
Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The opening of this location brings the
total number of Boat U.S. towing ports in Texas to nine.
Nunnally is a Texas native and recreational boater who formerly
worked for Capt. Gary Lewis of TowBoat U.S. Lake Conroe, TX.
Capt. Nunnally said he expects to continue the affiliation with
Capt. Lewis for salvage efforts and mobile dive services.
Nunnally operates a red, 19-foot Mako™ center console towing
vessel with a custom tower and yellow warning lights. Onboard
is a full complement of towing equipment to handle every breakdown
from running out of fuel to running aground.
Similar to a roadside auto club, Boat U.S. offers on-the-water
assistance plans tailored to any type of boating. A new
program available for anglers with freshwater fishing boats under
26-feet, Boat U.S. Angler, is now being offered at an introductory
price of only $12.50 per year. The simple to use program pays
up to $150 per breakdown – both on the water and off. A
second enhanced plan for fishing boats, Boat U.S. Angler Plus,
costs $29 a year but provides a wider service area and up to 100
miles of on the road towing to the repair facility or safe area and
up to 30 miles of on-the-water towing. Other assistance plans
for wakeboard boats, pontoons and other recreational boats are
available and provide additional benefits. Without a towing
plan, boaters face out-of-pocket costs that nationally average
about $600 per incident.
